Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Immigration Lawyer with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to join our client's dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have passed the Texas Bar Exam and possess experience or a strong foundational knowledge of immigration laws, specifically focusing on Mexico-U.S. immigration. This role involves working closely with clients to navigate the complexities of immigration procedures, providing legal advice, and preparing legal documents. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in the preparation and filing of immigration applications, petitions, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.
- Represent clients in immigration proceedings and interviews, as needed.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of case files and correspondence.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of Mexico-U.S. immigration laws and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
Good to have:
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, and other financial tools, particularly those commonly used in international transactions and tax preparation.
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Strong cross-cultural communication skills to effectively navigate and understand the nuances of working with international clients, especially from Mexico.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of both U.S. and Mexican immigration regulations.
Education / Professional Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Successful completion of the Texas Bar Exam.
- Experience or substantial coursework in immigration law.
